I just spent ages (I don't know, an hour or two) writing this totally unabridged review for a new flash toon, and when I copy+pasted it into the browser, I found out I was over by 700 characters. Now I have to magically attempt to be concise; meanwhile, I am falling asleep and haven't written my essay for AP English; it is almost 6 am. Not to mention that my review may not even be read by the flash artist since his toon has amassed nearly 500 reviews in just a couple days. Granted, most of them are totally fucktarded, but that's a lot of pages to sift through. What?

Edit: Actually had to remove 1300 characters because NG's Characters Remaining deal is inaccurate. The review is still full of the words "really" and "actually", which must be my secret favorites

I just finished monthly voting! I've had the privilege for over a year I think but I've never done it because it seemed such a daunting task for someone who didn't spend much time on the site. Since I've been more active I decided to do my duty.

There were 180 submissions on the ballot, and I had to pick ten.
First I had to view them all. I had already seen about 10%.

As I viewed them all the first time through, I decided which were very good and which were totally out of the running imo. Then I had 52 games and movies left. That part took the longest. I don't know how many hours but several. If I was a professional, I could have bought a few pairs of pants with that money.

I narrowed the list again until it was very difficult to decide. I still had 34 left. Then, recognizing that I would have at least one of each game or movie in the final ten, I put games and movies on two separate lists and whittled it down to ten each.

Then I put them on one list and picked ten, finally ordering them. Oddly, the less left on my list, the easier it was, and I ordered them in less than five minutes. That part mattered less anyways.

I am so surprised at my ability to devote this many hours to one task. This is something I haven't been able to do in a very long time. I can't get my schoolwork finished, I never could sit down and animate, and I can't read for more than an hour or play more than one consecutive game of Scrabble against Beginner Bot, but I barely had to remind myself to finish this voting. I realize it's not a big deal, and neither is monthly voting, so don't SRS BUSINESS me.

Hooray! I'm finally finished! Now I can sleep. It's 6:40 am. I've been at this for four or five hours tonight. Yeah... I'm a geek...
